My husband announced to the con staff last night that his next costuming project is Sherlock Holmes from Sherlock. The sudden onslaught of squeals and suggestions he also do “Sherlock in a sheet” broke my eardrums.
Guy: Hey, babe, want to dance?
Me: No, thanks.
Guy: What I'm saying is, "I think you're hot."
Me: I'm married.
Guy: Doesn't mean you can't fool around a little.
Me: Oh, did I misspeak? When I say, "I'm married," I mean, "I'm married to the most attractive, interesting, and intelligent person in the world, and anything else would be a step down. Also, you should respect me when I say, 'No.'"
